LEGO!!!

For some reason or another, I've had an itch to building something in LEGO. Maybe its because I have a son now and I'm just chomping at the bit to start buying mass quantities of Duplo kits. Maybe its because I just enjoyed them as a kid and miss it.

At any rate, I ended up ordering the 8070 Supercar kit. Needless to say, LEGOs have evolved since I started with them. Its a 1281 piece kit with a motor, and three books of instructions. Yes, I said three booklets of instructions. And you need to use all three of them. Its not like they're for different variations. No, you can download the variations from the LEGO website.

I set about my task of assembling this beast last night and finished it in about 4-5 hours. And I only screwed up one minor assembly on one of the doors. Luckily I noticed the mistake fairly quickly and was able to fix it without a major headache.

This may have re-opened Pandora's box. I now have a craving to build more and want to order more involved kits.

As if I didn't already have enought time-sinks.
