What did I spy with my little eye?

So I walked out of Subway yesterday evening and saw this woman facing away from me just looking straight ahead. Her (I'm assuming) husband was looking at her but occasionally looking over his shoulder. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what they were doing. Then I noticed other people in the parking lot all looking to the sky, phones and cameras in hand.
